It’s hard to pick one exchange. I often work with many new parents who are stressed, overwhelmed and a bit anxious. I tend to match well with parents who are very anxious due to the fact I am able to remain calm under pressure and have a peaceful and empathetic presence. One of my parents described her pre-New Kind experience as falling prey to the pressures of social media and when she found New Kind felt like she was SAVED. I certainly did not save her, but what I did do was provide reassurance that what she was doing was perfect and provided professional suggestions along the way. We are there during your darkest sleep deprived moments but also there to cheer you on during your most exciting moments.
There is something magical about the postpartum phase. However, as a new parent you find yourself caring for a brand new, always famished, sometimes inconsolable little being. New parents are often stretched super thin, both physically and emotionally. I love being able to bridge the gap in support while building a new parent’s self confidence.
I love that I can empower my clients by providing support and education from afar. New Kind is all about providing personalized and compassionate care and we look after your emotional journey, something that most care teams do not focus on. I walk alongside my clients providing non-judgemental support every step of the way. Think of New Kind as your co-pilot during the postpartum journey. We are here to answer questions and help you feel confident in your journey as a new parent. In person support also gets expensive very quickly. I love that we can support a wide range of clientele for a fraction of the price of in person support. Everyone deserves a doula!
