All classes are run by the New Kind experts who are experienced, certified postpartum doulas who have been working in the homes of new parents and newborns for many years. All of our doulas also carry at least one additional certification including: birth doulas / childbirth educators, lactation consultants, nutrition for perinatal health, infant sleep consulting, pregnancy loss and bereavement support, and pelvic floor & diastasis support.
Yes! We highly encourage partners or support people to join these classes. They can either join with you on the same device or sign-up themselves!
Classes will last 1 hour. Each session will include a quick introduction from the New Kind expert, 45 minutes of dedicated content and ending with 10 minutes of Q&A. We highly recommend that you attend the full session, but understand that you may need to join a little late or leave a little early.
The class will NOT be recorded or sent to registrants. Therefore, we highly recommend attending the live class to help best prepare for the arrival of your little one.
All classes will be hosted via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link to join the class via email after registering. We recommend downloading the Zoom app if you haven’t already ahead of the class so that you can easily join once your class time arrives.
Since class is a webinar format cameras will be off...no need to put makeup on and we won't tell anyone if you decide to take the class from bed 😉
If your baby has already arrived, we recommend registering for our Feeding Your Baby, Preparing for Baby: Partner Edition, or Navigating Postpartum Mood Disorder. These classes will be covering material that is highly relevant if you already have a baby at home.
While all our classes include relevant material for expecting dads, we highly recommend joining our Preparing for Birth: Partner Edition class that was designed specifically with dads and non-birthing partners in mind.
